Nordic Skiing at Dewey Fields

Friends of Castleton Rec has human ‘groomed’ a quarter mile skate skiing loop around Dewey for the community to use as a small pilot project. Folks can currently park at Dewey. You are also welcome to snowshoe or classic ski, but try to keep boot and dog prints off the groomed loop.

 

Also, feel free to explore and make your own snowshoe/classic ski loops around the fields and woods! We will have a classic track skied in around the perimeter whenever we can too.

 

We will try to generally keep up with the new snow to keep it skiable but realize there may be lags after new snow. Look for us skiing as we drag a big pipe to groom!

Dewey Field is located just off North Rd, on the right, as you come from Main St. and cross the railroad tracks.
